چکیده

Let an indirectly measurable variable Y be represented as a function of finite number of directly measurable variables X1, X2, ..., Xn. We introduce maximum absolute and relative inaccuracies of second order of Y – this idea is a continuation of our research of a new principle for representing the maximum inaccuracies of Y using the inaccuracies of X1, X2, ..., Xn. Using inaccuracies of second order we determine the maximum inaccuracies of indirectly measurable variable Y with quadratic approximation which gives their values more precisely. We give algorithmically an easily applicable method for determining their numerical values. The defined by us maximum inaccuracies of second order give the opportunity for more precise determination of the inaccuracy when measuring indirectly measurable variables.

Inquiry into Scientific Correctness of the Elementary School Farsi Textbooks

Inquiry into Scientific Correctness of the Elementary School Farsi Textbooks   H. Ghamari, Ph.D.*   Scientific validity or correctness is of paramount importance when it comes to the contents of textbooks used in elementary schools, as the very foundations of learners’ knowledge is constructed therein. Hence, an analysis of these contents from this perspective is necessary in order to guide...

Short Note A second-order fast marching eikonal solver

Unfortunately, first-order implementations lead to inaccuracies in computed traveltimes, which may lead to poor image focusing for migration applications. In addition, first-order traveltimes are not accurate enough for reliable amplitude calculations. This has lead to the development of the fast marching method on non-Cartesian (Alkhalifah and Fomel, 1997; Sun and Fomel, 1998), and even unstru...

Analytically determining of the relative inaccuracy (error) of indirectly measurable variable and dimensionless scale characterising quality of the experiment

In the following paper we present an easily applicable new method for analytical representation of the maximum relative inaccuracy (error) of an indirectly measurable variable f = f(x1, x2, ..., xn) as a function of the maximum relative inaccuracies (errors) of the directly measurable variables x1, x2, ..., xn. Our new approach is more adequate for the objective reality. The gist of it is that ...

The Impact of Residual Geometric Inaccuracies on Normal Organ Doses in Image Guided-Radiation Therapy of Prostate Cancer Using On-Board Kilovoltage Cone-Beam Computed Tomography

Introduction: The aim of this retrospective study was to evaluate the variations in delivered dose to the bladder, rectum, and femoral heads of prostate cancer patients during a course of treatment by image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT). Materials and Methods: Overall, 15 patients with prostate cancer were selected and. Each week, for each patient five consecutive cone beam computed tomograph...
